Urban Landscapes

Map of the Tijuana -San Diego border region, divided into two panels separated an inch from each other. Camouflaged with automotive paint over aluminum sheets. The metal interior structure dictates different inclinations; the sheet is adjusted to the structure simulating the border’s topography. The color panel base representing Tijuana is brown, and the San Diego base color is green, the camouflaged colors overlay and run throughout the two panels regardless of division. A series of applications in yellow vinyl where installed over the painting. These applications identify specific areas of the border zone, or refer to specific situations that create a narrative according to their geographic location.
