Stop Signs
Aluminum signs with vinyl applications in the typical octagonal form of stop signs. Each sign is installed in a corner of a square delineated by a chain that binds them together. The signs face each other from corner to corner, and the viewer is always outside the square. The vinyl words in the sign give continuity to the original stop message, but create a hermetic discourse that can never be seen from inside the confined zone; an area designed to obey the imperative symbols.
