Eye Charts

This series, which includes paintings on polychrome aluminum and an edition of inkjet prints on composite panels or paper, features a series of quotes by notable figures of the past and present. The texts are laid out in the manner of a Snellen optometry chart, the familiar eye examination tool that measures visual acuity. Each quote is rendered in decreasing letter sizes, making the text less legible toward the end. These works invite viewers to question their own positions and assumptions in response to the ideas and opinions expressed through the quotes.
